Overtime Thoughts - 3/4

Ok, I can't speak for Michael, but storming the court after beating the #23 team in the country is stupid. That's what Penn State did tonight. I could see maybe if Penn State was a team that was 7-24 or something, but they're 21-9. I just had a huge phone argument with a buddy of mine who was at the game trying to defend the students. He argued that it's not a basketball school and that the win basically clinched a NCAA Tournament bid, which is true. I still don't think that warrants a court-storming. Vote in our poll on your thoughts on if Penn State students were right to storm the court.

Around the Big East:
#16 Villanova beat Providence 87-70

Around the top 25:
#17 UCLA beat on Oregon State79-54
#18 Xavier crushed Dayton 76-59
Stanford upset #21 Arizona State 74-64
And as mentiioned before, Penn State beat #23 Illinois 64-63

Alex Rodriguez tore his labrum and has a cyst in his right hip. No decision yet on if he will undergo surgery.

In NCAA news, Alabama may have gotten themselves into quite a pickle after admitting to NCAA rules violations that student-athletes received free textbooks and supplies in 2006-2007. Alabama was placed on probation in 2002. If this is considered a repeat offense, they could face tougher sanctions.
