Jay Cutler, who has been involved on a crazy saga over the past few weeks in Denver has been traded to the Chicago Bears for QB Kyle Orton, 2 first round draft picks ('09 & '10) and a 3rd rond pick in '09. Wow, that seems like a lot to be giving up if you're the Bears, just my opinion.
Cutler has never won a playoff game and you're going to give up 2 first rounders and a 3rd rounder for him? Insane. This does give Chicago a quarterback since Grossman and Orton are both horrible, but at the same time, how good is Cutler? Not that good.

I think Jay Cutler is slightly overrated, for the reasons you stated. Chicago needed to do something with their messy situation and they did just that! They need to get a WR with their second round pick though, so Jay Cutler has someone to throw the ball to!
